Cristen Wanser, originally from Auburn, Maine, currently lives and works in Palm Desert, CA. She was originally trained in recreational therapy with minors in art, history, and English at Butte Community College in Orville, CA. She began drawing in 2006 and was chosen for the Area Artists Exhibit at the University of Southern Maine in 2007.
Her unique pencil drawings, paintings, and sculptures incorporate her love of geometry, Native American and Asian art. She captures her viewer’s attention with the intricate details in her black/whites, and the vibrancy in her color pieces.
Cristen’s art has been featured in several art exhibits, including:
Ø Barney’s Coffee and Tea Company in Lewiston, Maine for the Art and Java Exhibition in 2007

Ø Fast Frames in Palm Desert, CA in 2010
Ø The Hood in Palm Desert, CA in 2011
Cristen works in the art production field (fine art show operations) and spends her free time creating her own works of art, with the goal of becoming a full time professional artist.
